The decisions we make now will shape Fayetteville for years to come. We need effective, practical leadership to plan for the future without losing what makes Fayetteville special.
I’m a professional engineer who served as the City of Fayetteville’s first Sustainability Director. I’ve lived in Ward 2 for 19 years. I’m running to bring people together, make thoughtful long-range decisions, and get real results.
On the City Council, I’ll listen, build consensus, and do the mundane, nerdy policy work it takes to move the needle on housing, sustainability, and employment options. We need leaders who will build coalitions, align funding decisions with our goals, and solve problems, not just complain about them.
Why I’m Running
My goal is to listen, build consensus, and make decisions that ensure a stronger Fayetteville for the people who live here and for generations to come.
I’m running because I love Fayetteville and want to put my experience to work for the city my family and I have called home for 19 years.
Fayetteville is changing. I want to help make sure it remains a place where families can afford to live, local businesses can thrive, city services are dependable, and the character of our community is protected.
City government gets more done when leaders listen, work together, and focus on solutions. I’m ready to do that work.
Meet John
A Career Built on Solving Problems
I’ve spent my career helping cities, public agencies, and other organizations solve complex problems and make responsible long-term investments.
As Fayetteville’s first Sustainability Director, I helped establish the city’s environmental initiatives and worked across departments to improve operational efficiency, protect natural resources, and strengthen long-range planning.
Today, I’m with Entegrity, an Arkansas-based sustainability engineering and energy services firm. I work with public and private organizations to improve infrastructure, reduce costs, protect resources, and create lasting value for communities.
I earned my engineering degree from the University of Arkansas. My wife, Angie, and I have lived in Ward 2 for 19 years. We’re the proud parents of three children. Our family is active in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

More Housing Options
Fayetteville needs more housing choices at more price points. I support updating the city’s development code, zoning practices, and long-range plans to allow the housing we need while protecting the character of our neighborhoods.
Stronger Sustainability
As the city’s first Sustainability Director, we made Fayetteville a national leader in protecting the environment. Throughout my career in sustainability, I’ve worked to find innovative ways to use our resources wisely. On the City Council, I’ll champion trails, public transit, and protecting our natural areas.
Infrastructure That Works
My career has focused on practical projects that improve infrastructure, reduce costs, strengthen resilience, and protect natural resources. I’ll bring that same results-focused approach to decisions at City Hall.

I want Fayetteville to be a place where local businesses, entrepreneurs, and new ideas can thrive. I’ll support policies that strengthen our local economy and expand employment options.
